2. Data we collect
To create and operate your account, we collect: your email address; your name; your date of birth or age; your gender; your city; a profile photo; a short bio; the messages you exchange with your matches through the app's chat; and a device push token used to deliver notifications.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the basic profile information those providers share with us (such as your name and email address) to create and authenticate your account.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to operate the weekly matching service (selecting and introducing one compatible person to you each week), to enable chat between matched users, and to send you notifications about new matches, messages, and service updates.
4. Who we share data with
We rely on trusted service providers ("processors") to operate Oulai. These include: Supabase, which hosts our database and stores your profile photo and other files; Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers push notifications to your device; Google Cloud Platform / App Engine, which hosts our backend infrastructure; and Google and Apple, which provide sign-in authentication.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with these providers to the extent necessary to run the Service, and with any authority where required by law.
5. Legal basis and your rights (GDPR)
We process your data on the basis of the performance of our contract with you (providing the Service), our legitimate interest in operating and improving Oulai, and, where applicable, your consent.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or a jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your data, and to request restriction of or object to certain processing. 6. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including those provided by our hosting and infrastructure providers, to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Minimum age
Oulai is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that data promptly.
9. International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside of your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection, such as relying on providers that offer appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
